The dry types of formula such as Nurturall® for puppies, JustBorn® for puppies, Esbilac® for puppies, and Zoologic Milk Matrix 33/40 by PetAg® all use a mix rate of 2 parts water to 1 part dry formula. For baby squirrels do not use that ratio.  Use the ratio of 1and 1/2 parts water to 1 part dry formula.  This is closer to the squirrel mother's milk.   Mix enough for 1or 2 days worth. Any more than that will possibly spoil.   Store the mixed formula in a airtight plastic container in the refridgerator.   Pour out only what you need for the feeding.  A shot glass makes a good container for reheating the formula and is the right size for mininum waste.  The can of dry unmixed formula should also be refridgerated.  If you use the premixed liquid type of formula, that should be refridgerated.  Make sure the baby is properly rehydrated before you start using full strength formula.  If you do not, the formula will not be digested and it could bind up in the gut.
